yeah I'm quite new to anime comapared to probably most people here :P130 Mb/s? I'd kill a puppy for anything over 100 mb/s. Wasn't really too much of a problem for me though at the time since I actually wasn't even watching anime(or anything much) at that point. Actually though, up until just about last year our speeds were capped at like 10mpbs. but of course this won't necessarily let you download 1080p videos in a few minutes if you don't really have high speeds to begin with. A tip is that even if your laptop or desktop has WiFi capability(which mine does but I disabled), you should still connect it directly to the router via ethernet(if you have an extra cable lying around) the pay-off in extra speed is well worth it, and of course having a much more pleasurable viewing experience. The PC is wired to the router(ethernet, not WiFi), which definitely makes a huge difference when it comes to internet speeds. ![]() I always watch my anime on my desktop PC with a 1920x1080 monitor. ![]() yeah I'm quite new to anime comapared to probably most people here :P ![]() In general though, I find that having super high resolution for anime doesn't really matter as much as it does when it comes to live-action movies/TV. I'm totally fine with lower resolutions though(even as low as 480p) if the anime is good and as long as the quality isn't pixelated to the point where it's unwatchable then I don't see any reason to still not watch it :) Even at 1080p, I almost never encounter any buffering unless someone else in my house is downloading a bunch of stuff. Our internet speeds are generally around 130mpbs, and although I don't really download too often, I usually do stream and then I'd take whatever the highest available resolution is.
